The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa status to a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries here to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance stage produced for intervention ordeals a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
